This show ran from January 27 to February 12, 2006 at many locations around Tucson. As always, there was a wide variety of interesting items for sale from all around the World, from an illuminated giant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mindat.org\/min-3337.html\">Quartz<\/a> crystal&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fireflyforest.net\/images\/firefly\/2006\/February\/giant-quartz-crystal.jpg\" alt=\"Illuminated giant Quartz crystal\" title=\"Illuminated giant Quartz crystal\" width=\"480\" height=\"341\" class=\"post-photo\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To a giant carved wooden Buddha head&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fireflyforest.net\/images\/firefly\/2006\/February\/wooden-head.jpg\" alt=\"Giant carved wooden Buddha head\" title=\"Giant carved wooden Buddha head\" width=\"480\" height=\"364\" class=\"post-photo\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And a mysterious-looking Quartz sphere lamp with a giant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mindat.org\/min-4003.html\">Tourmaline<\/a> crystal inset in the lamp base.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fireflyforest.net\/images\/firefly\/2006\/February\/tourmaline-quartz-statue.jpg\" alt=\"Quartz sphere lamp with inset Tourmaline crystal\" title=\"Quartz sphere lamp with inset Tourmaline crystal\" width=\"300\" height=\"502\" class=\"post-photo\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was fascinated by these monstrous petrified trees and tree stumps from Indonesia&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fireflyforest.net\/images\/firefly\/2006\/February\/petrified-trees.jpg\" alt=\"Petrified trees and tree stumps from Indonesia\" title=\"Petrified trees and tree stumps from Indonesia\" width=\"480\" height=\"289\" class=\"post-photo\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And this huge Terataspis grandis, a giant spiny Trilobite from the Onondaga Limestone of western New York.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fireflyforest.net\/images\/firefly\/2006\/February\/Terataspis-grandis.jpg\" alt=\"Terataspis grandis, a giant spiny trilobite from the Onondaga Limestone of western New York\" title=\"Terataspis grandis, a giant spiny trilobite from the Onondaga Limestone of western New York\" width=\"400\" height=\"572\" class=\"post-photo\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There were these lovely polished botryoidal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mindat.org\/min-2550.html\">Malachite<\/a> specimens&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fireflyforest.net\/images\/firefly\/2006\/February\/polished-malachite.jpg\" alt=\"Polished botryoidal Malachite\" title=\"Polished botryoidal Malachite\" width=\"480\" height=\"350\" class=\"post-photo\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And a naughty army of carved stone penises, some in anatomically impossible sizes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fireflyforest.net\/images\/firefly\/2006\/February\/phallic-carvings.jpg\" alt=\"Naughty army of carved stone penises\" title=\"Naughty army of carved stone penises\" width=\"480\" height=\"172\" class=\"post-photo\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On February 3, 2006, I visited the Tucson International Gem &amp; Mineral Show for a second time.
