My dad made a video of a pair of semi-tame Greater Roadrunners (Geococcyx californianus) in my Tucson, Arizona yard. We named the male roadrunner "Runnerboy". During mating season, the male roadrunner immediately becomes amorous after a kill (or after being given a large piece of raw hamburger). Roadrunners are carnivorous (meat and insects), and part of their mating ritual involves the male presenting his "kill" to the female with an elaborate, tail-wagging dance before she allows mating to occur.
