Cumulus clouds are building and growing over the mountains tonight, and I hope that they soon develop into cumulonimbus clouds and bring us some desperately needed rain. The monsoons are late this year here in Tucson, and it is possible that we may have the latest monsoon start ever.
This massive cumulus cloud in the eastern sky managed to capture the last of today's sunlight. The tiny dot in the lower left is an airplane attempting to go around the cloud.
Update: Where I live only got a scattering of rain and a little lightning, while other parts of Tucson had some rain and high winds, resulting in a few power outages.
