The pale pink, big-mouthed flowers and smooth, boat-shaped, blue-green leaves of Palmer's Penstemons (Penstemon palmeri) are distinctive and quite unlike those of any other penstemons found here in Tucson.

Unlike those of our other common penstemons, the lovely, spring-blooming flowers of Palmer's Penstemons smell delightful, with a light floral fragrance similar to that of roses.
