The 2007 Turkey Vultures are here in Tucson!
March 23, 2007On March 22, 2007, a southerly storm system from Mexico blew into Tucson, bringing with it not only rain and thunder, but also a large flock of Turkey Vultures (Cathartes aura), the first I've seen this year. Turkey Vultures usually arrive here sometime in March and will depart by early November.
