Tucson Spring 2007 Wildflower Update

March 8, 2007, updated March 18, 2007

So far, 2007 is looking pretty poor for spring wildflowers. I'm seeing very few blooming annuals in early March, but there are more than last year (which was a total loss). The best places to find them are in our wetter local washes and riparian areas.

In a warped way, I'm glad it's a dud because I had to send my camera in to Canon for repair and cleaning (it was having focus problems), so I would've hated to be camera-less during a superb wildflower season.

Update: By mid-March, 2007 there are a few more wildflowers in the mountain foothills and my camera is back. :-) The lowland deserts still look pretty dry though.
