Winter Weather on Nov. 29, 2006

Wednesday, November 29 was our first day of wintry weather this season here in Tucson. We got a bit of windy winter rain, and the first frost was predicted for that night. I actually had to wear a coat! Our first windy winter storm usually sends herds of tumbleweeds out galloping across the roads, and on my drive home from the U of A today, I had to swerve to avoid a monstrous tumbleweed the size of a small hippo.

Update: My pepper plants got frosted on Wednesday night.
