Fireflyforest.com is Back!

I can now access fireflyforest.com and receive emails from my fireflyforest.com email address at my own ISP again! It takes a couple of days or so for DNS to propagate Worldwide, and until it does, my website may still be unreachable for some people.

On Tuesday, August 29, 2006, the servers at my webhost netbunch.com were attacked, and the data on all of their servers and on their backups was erased. Their servers then went down and stayed down. As a result, my website and many others were erased and knocked offline. The FBI and law enforcement are investigating this malicious attack.

Fortunately, my fireflyforest.com website is a simple html one and not too large, so I am able to keep a backup of it on my home computer. I have transferred my fireflyforest.com domain name registration to Go Daddy, where I already have several other domain names registered, and I have moved my backup fireflyforest.com website to a new webhost, Host Gator.
