Camera Tossing and Kinetic Photography

While looking around on the photo sharing site Flickr, I discovered some truly extreme methods for creating light trail photographs, camera tossing and kinetic photography.

Camera tossing is exactly that, tossing your camera in the air with the shutter open so it takes a photo while tumbling through the air. Some of the best camera toss photos from various photographers can be found on Camera Toss (The Blog). I especially like the camera toss photos of the flags of various countries. You can read how they were created on the photographer's blog.

Kinetic photography
is similar, and it includes any photographs taken from a moving camera not directly held or controlled by human hands.

I don't have any of my own examples of these because I'm not brave/insane enough to try these techniques, but the random images they produce are true photographic magic.
