Build Your Face

October 13, 2005, updated April 17, 2006

Thanks to The J-Walk Blog, I discovered that the National Geographic Channel has an interesting online Face Generator where you can build an "identikit" or composite drawing of a face by mixing, matching, and editing stock face parts. The result looks rather like something in a wanted criminal poster.

I generated this composite face of myself, and while it doesn't look terribly like me (I don't wear a braided wig for starters), the composite person really does look like it could theoretically be a close relative of mine… Weird!

I was actually surprised to get anything even semi-resembling myself because unlike some people, I almost never get mistaken for others, and I don't look like anyone else that I know, not even my actual sister.
