Eddie Breen is a very unique "piggyback" artist. He buys cheap, rather nondescript paintings and then adds his own painted embellishments to create colorful but totally wacky artworks. It's amusing to see the before and after photos of the paintings, and I can only imagine how horrified the more traditional original artists would be if they saw them! (Warning: May be offensive.)
These tropical-looking flowers really do look like flames, and I wish that I knew what they were because I'd really like to grow them in my garden.
I've always thought that Wolf Spiders have rather cute faces, sort of like ewoks with an overabundance of eyes, and here are a few examples:

- Whole spider (pale)
- Super close-up
- With it's kill
- Disorienting profile view
This great website has lots of nice photos of French wildflowers. Everything is in French so I used Google Translate to convert it to English. Looking at the translated version, I think that either Google needs a little translation help or the French really do classify some plants as either Kittens, Barks, Foams, or Ears!
MSNBC's Animal Tracks slide shows have some truly great animal photos.
