Landsat 7

Landsat 7 is a U.S. NASA satellite in a sun-synchronous, polar orbit and it is used to acquire remotely sensed images of the Earth's surface and coastal areas. The Visible Earth website has a catalog of NASA images and animations of Earth, including Landsat 7 images of Tucson, Arizona and its surroundings. The Earth as Art website has beautiful Landsat 7 images from all over the world, many of which look like fantastically creative modern art.
